The American Soldier

God bless the American Soldier
The bravest of the brave
Who fight and die in wars
Our freedom must they save.

Pray for the American Soldier
Gods' blessings to bestow
On those who fight for freedom
So freedom all can know.

Honor the American Soldier
Greet him and wish him well
Repay him for his valor
For he has been through hell.

Remember the American Soldier
Remember them every day
Those who gave their all.
And the price they had to pay.

Bring home the American Soldier
From lands so far away
Bring home our American heroes
Don't wait another day.

I Wish I Were A Child Again

I wish I were a child again
So I could run and play,
And do all the simple things
I used to do each day.

To play with cars and little trucks,
Or playing with my friends,
The game I loved the most,
Cowboys and Indians.

I saw the world through different eyes,
When I was just a child,
Everything was magic then,
If only for awhile.

I always was so happy,
And having so much fun,
I never wanted to be called in,
Until the setting sun.

Now I only dream about,
What fun it was back then,
And I know I will never be,
A little child again.
